STUDY GUIDE FOR MATH TERMS TEST

FILL IN THE BLANKS:
1) Look for and underline key words in the statement.
2) Fill in the blanks with terms about which you feel certain.
3) Only use terms from the dictionary.
4) Come back to blanks left blank after completing rest of test.
MATCHING
1) Start with definition.
2) Look for and underline key words in definition.
3) Look for term that fits/matches the definition.
4) Complete all the matches about which you are confident.
5) Use process of elimination for those matches about which you are uncertain.
6) Come back to unmatched terms after completing rest of test.
EXAMPLES
1) Look up each term to locate examples you have recorded.
2) Double check for specifics of term:
associative/commutative
addition/multiplication
FINISHING UP
1) Go back and look over any questions you’ve left unanswered.
2) Answer those questions you now can answer.
3) Flip through dictionary to see if you can find the terms that correspond with the unanswered questions.

3) Use cards like flashcards:

6) Replace study cards back in dictionary in alphabetical order.
